Strange Behavior When Opening Winamp

Just like the subject says - when a friend of mine installed Winamp, and
tries to enter the program, two equalizer windows open up - that's the first
thing. Then he can't close those equalizer windows. Eventually, Winamp
comes up properly, very slowly. I don't know if I explained this quite
right, but I did the best I could. By the way, this is the latest version.
The question is how to get Winamp to open normally. He tried uninstalling
and still has the same problem. If this doesn't make sense, let me know so
I can maybe do a better job at explaining this strange dilemma. Thanks, all.
