It seems to be that at one time control-s in the EQ use to give you a
preset menu but it sure isn't their any more. The best way to adjust the EQ
is first to start up some music preferably a radio station of good quality
or a good song that has bass and trevel. Next control-tab between the
winamp windows and if the eq is not on the screen press alt-g which will
bring up this window. Next press the letter n as in Nancy and wait 5 secs.
Now you can press the different bands from the exclamation point through 0
to turn up the bands. I usually bink each one up several presses at a time.
You should hear it increase but it is slow to respond so give it a second
to come up. If you turn one of the bands up to far type tab through p to
turn the different bands down. They go from tab which is the lowest bass
through p which is the highest trevel. Once you have it adjusted the way
you want press alt-g to close the eq window. It will stay on and continue
to function and later when you launch winamp again it will still be on so
you should not have to make further adjustments. Becareful when you adjust
the bass settings not to bottom it out.
