Yeah, do you have any USB drives connected? Newer winamps, (my experience)
have problems making assumptions about what they do when they are. :) When I
connect a SUB storage device to my computer, I cannot stop any recording
without hitting alt-f4, and then, an error message is generated.

Hi,
I just reinstalled windows xp and when I installed the latest version of
Winamp, the normal control keys did not work. I had to go to
www.oldversion.com
and the latest version they had on their site was version 5.24. Once I
installed the 5.24 version, my Winamp control keys began working again.
Anyone have any ideas?
