I have no answers, I'm afraid. I've never liked the MP3 Pro plug-in.
Shellworld Radio broadcasts in regular MP3 , but will probably be moving
to Vorbis at some time in the future.

Hi Bruce, Peter Russillo here; I listened in to your show last Saturday and liked it. However, as I was listening, sometimes, the sound would suddenly sound very distorted and fuzzy; I got out of the stream, then went back in and it was fine. Do you use MP3 Pro for the broadcasts? I do have the Thompson MP3 Pro plug-in; I use the dial-up stream as that's what my connection is. What can I do in MP3 Pro to make sure the sound doesn't suddenly get distorted and fuzzy as I'm listening? thanks for any info you can give here. By the way, I use Win 98 SE and Winamp 5.08E.

subject line.I hope you'll join me this weekend on Shellworld Radio. Information on when and how to listen appears at the end of this announcement.
If you hated last week's installments of Toews on The Wave: The Show of No Fixed Format (TOTW) and Radio Classics, then I can promise you, you're sure to despise this week's installment. This week on TOTW we have a fifteen-minute spotlight on summertime tunes, along with our usual mix of good times and more than eight oldies. The features you've come to know and love are here: Songs I Can't Stand, Guilty Pleasures, and so on. In our second hour, the novelty tunes hour, among other things, we'll be paying homage to the telephone with some great classic comedy telephone routines as well as a more recent one. We also look into the world of multicultural Shakespeare, and we'll throw in a few surprises, too.
In this week's episode of Radio Classics, we present Fibber McGee and Molly, Suspense with the ever-popular "Sorry, Wrong Number", and of course parts 3 and 4 of P.G. Wodehouse's "Galahad at Blandings". I do hope you can join me.
Both TOTW and Radio Classics air twice each weekend. On Saturdays, Radio Classics airs from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Central (7-9 PM Eastern, 4-6 PM Pacific); TOTW follows from 8:00 to 10:00 PM Central (9-11 PM Eastern, 6-8 PM Pacific). On Sundays, the shows air in the same four-hour time slot but in reverse order: TOTW from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Central, with Radio Classics following from 8:00 to 10:00 PM Central.
