Hi Chris,

As to your automatic reading problem, try setting the refresh page item to
off under configuration manager/verbosity settings.

Subject: JAWS 8 and the media library

Hi all.

Wow, I'm actually pretty amazed that I'm the first one to speak about
this. I now have JAWS 8.0, and the access to the Media Library in
version 5.31 is interesting to say the very least. I don't know if
it's just ignorance on my part or if I'm just getting weird in my
older years, but I haven't yet found a way to select a category in
the library without JAWS going to it and start reading it first.
It's kind of a pain to hit f6, arrow down, JAWS names that item and
starts reading the web page associated with that item, I hit f6, we
go back to the tree view, I arrow down, same thing. Has anyone found
a way around this issue? Also, I've noticed that in earlier versions
of JAWS, with verbocity set to medium or advanced, hitting the hotkey
to announce the track length, would make JAWS simply speak the track
length which I like a lot.
But in JAWS 8, with verbocity set to medium or advanced, hitting the
hot key makes JAWS say, "the track length is...before the track
length. Is there any way I can just get it to say the track length
without that introductory stuff? I already know that I want the track
length spoken, so I just want that.
Yeah I know, I'm picky and that's probably nit picky, but I thought
I'd try and find out. I'd be interested in any of your guys thoughts
on the support for the media library in version 5.3 and 5.31 of
Winamp with JAWS 8.0.
