Not always David. i have had to manually tag cd's and send the info using CDEX and then from there, Winamp picks it up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Reynolds" <dkreynolds@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Duyahn,

In that case, grace note generally provides a listing which normally says
things like unknown track etc.

Best,

David.

It is also possible that the cd is not in the data base. I have seen that
situation before.

David:
Thank you for your reply about Winamp. It's getting late here now, but
tomorrow I will take your advice and uninstall everything in Winamp and
re-install. Hope it works. I'll contact you afterwards if I have
questions.
Thank you again.
Lois.

Lois,

F I were you, I'd totally uninstall it and start again. The fact that
you've
had to upgrade is significant, as your reason for upgrading was a corrupt file. Get rid of everything, and start again. A bit of a drag I know, but
probably worth the effort.

Best,

David.

No, I don't have pro. I'm just using the free version. I upgraded from
an
older version I've been using for a long time. It would go to a database
somewhere and present the titles of a CD when they were played. I
wouldn't
have bothered upgrading but the for fact that a file got corrupted
somewhere

and a few things wouldn't work anymore. Probably some service or other
has

ceased to be.
Now the track numbers appear, but no titles. Is there a way to get this
version, 5.623 to do that?
Thank you.
Lois Goodine.
