You made 1-8gig and 1-4gig partition. You stuck in your cd, installed NT4 on the 2nd partition, The 4gigger and whola! NT will not boot. All NT system files have to reside on the first 7.8gigs of the drive or it will not work. Some OEM (Compaq) allow you to make a 7.8 gig boot partition. Unfortunately, some sort of Microsoftism.
