I remembered this being discussed a while ago, so,
just for the record (or the archives :-)
i'd like to mention that I just compiled wily-9libs
under cygwin (1.3.22) without any problem,
without doing anything special.
(just downloaded the `right' packages as part of cygwin).
This is on a machine running windows 2000.
uname -a reports:
CYGWIN_NT-5.0 hostname 1.3.22(0.78/3/2) 2003-03-18 09:20 i686 unknown unknown

Not tested much so far (but I will :-); the only thing I noticed
is that I get a diagnostic about the pipe not being opened

diag: Function not implemented: couldn't open fifo

but that is not a big deal for me.

A big cheers! to all who in some way or another helped to make this possible!
