Note; Attached is the flyer prepared by the City representative
coordinating the meeting.
Also, I was just informed that our City Council Member Dev Davis for our
district 6 will attend. So, it might be a good opportunity to get your
questions ready that go beyond the Neighborhood watch meeting. She's a
direct conduit to the City Manager who runs the show in San Jose.
*Some topics to cover.*
***Street Lights - To few and to dim.
***Abandoned Cars - re tagged and left to sit way beyond the 72 hour maximum
***Campers - parking on our streets with occupant's leaving trash and
***Unhitched trailers - red tagged but never moved.
***Constant Car break ins 8 recorded in the last 6 months. with broken
glass and stolen property
***Two Home burglaries recorded in the last 30 days , showing 5 or more
gang members ransacking each property.
***Ineffective parking enforcement laws that are two lenient allowing red
tags to continue to camp or abandon vehicles in our neighborhood without
solid repercussions such as ticketing and towing. Also, clear
posted I.D's. of these people living in there vehicles. Who are they ?
Do they have criminal back rounds ? If the City will not enforce parking
restrictions allowing campers in our neighborhood, don't we have a right to
know who these people are ?
Recently we have been over run with blight that leads to criminals
believing that our neighborhood is an easy target since no one cares to
keep our streets clean and safe. It also sends a message that law
enforcement is not paying attention. Anyway, attached is the flyer
confirming the time and location of the meeting. Hope to see you there.
Your safety and property values depend on it.
