Today I received a report from a neighborhood resident that, their 11 year
old son was walking home from the pool by himself at noon on Tuesday and a
old green station wagon with a man in it came up beside him. The driver
tried to make conversation about what sports team the boy was wearing and
the pool while driving slowly beside him. There was no one else on the
street. The driver eventually pulled away when someone walking a dog turned
on the street.
Fortunately, the boy is safe, but an unnerving situation nonetheless.
Again, everybody please be aware of any suspicious activity in our
neighborhood and report it to the police or call 911.
Also please remind your children of the safety rules, especially when
alone, and "Stranger Danger."
