Rodney,
I double checked the date on the Recent Activities, and it's June
25th. Looks like my typo was in forgetting the "5" in the date. It
has been fixed.
I've attached the newest version of the PDF as well. I'm on a 5 hour
flight today for work travel, returning on the 23rd. I'll do my best
to address anything else during that time, but I'm in all day
meetings, followed by business dinners, so I'm not sure about my
flexibility.
Here are the changes to the Key Dates and Announcements. There are
space constraints here, so I'm not sure we can add too many additional
characters
* March: Kids Make Your Own Pizza and Dessert - This event is
sponsored by Pizzeria Vetri, specializing in Roman-Style Pizza and
Craft Beers. Check them out in the KOP Mall (Address: 640 W Dekalb
Pike / KOP, PA).
* April: Adult Bingo - Come enjoy a fun night of Bingo with
friends. More info to follow.
* May: Movie Night - Featuring "Ferdinand" for the younger kids,
followed by a movie for the older kids (selection TBD).

Hi Nikki.
Only two things jumped out at me...
1. Recent Activities... I am not sure if this is in the PDF, but I
noticed a small typo in the date below:

Should be "2nd"?
2. Did you include the sponsor for the postponed cooking event? They
will still sponsor us, and it should be in the newsletter.
I will ask Angela H. to send you the sponsor information again.

Section 1: Who are we?
* The West End Civic Association (WECA) is a non-profit,
non-partisan, neighborhood organization that is dedicated to promoting
the welfare, and best interests, of the community. The association was
established in 1947, by a passionate group of families, located in the
Rebel Hill neighborhood of West Conshohocken, PA. WECA has a long
history of serving the community, and providing a variety of programs
to meet the needs of the community. In the past year, there has been
renewed participation by the community to revive the association, and
to encourage more active involvement.
Section 2: Featured Committee
* The Friends of WECA Committee is one of the active committees in
the community. This committee is both a member, and non-member, joint
endeavor focused on the ongoing plans to maintain, and improve, the
quality of the playground, and other facilities, at the William Wall
Memorial Park. Do you want to be involved in developing, creating, and
organizing the additional plans for the park? Please contact
westendcivicassoc@xxxxxxxxx for details on the next Friends of WECA
meeting and get involved!
Section 3: Membership
* A community that works together, towards a common goal, will
produce unity and lasting bonds. Become a member, and participate in
the events, initiatives, and successes that the West End Civic

Section 5: Recent Activities
* On June 2th, 2017, the West End Civic Association held a
fundraising event for the community. For this Community Day, dozens of
neighbors came together to enjoy refreshments, and participated in a
raffle to raise funds for maintenance of the Association's historical
building. Following the Community Day, the Upper Merion Parks and
Recreation Board held their monthly meeting at the Association
Building. Residents communicated feedback for planned improvements to
the building and adjacent William Wall Park. The Township acknowledged
a renewed partnership with the community as a result of the recent and
revived interest and activism from many of the community members. In
addition to the very successful Community Day, the West End Civic
Association's revival has led to a host of community activities,
including Meet the Candidates Night, Halloween Party, Movie Night,
Pancakes and Pajama with Santa, and our Community Holiday Party. If
you have not yet joined one of our recent events, please keep an eye
out for additional information or future events. These are posted on
the Facebook Page and emailed to the community.
Section 6: Meet your Neighbor
* Rodney Haynie is a 25-year veteran of the Information Technology
industry, specializing in design and development of business software
solutions. He is a "tech junkie" and a budding eco-warrior. His wife
and three children fuel his ambitions, evident in the frequent
adjustment to lofty design plans for his log cabin dream home. He has
a hands-on attitude, openness to suggestion, and a thirst for
knowledge. You might see Rodney navigating the streets of Rebel Hill
through the use of a white cane. Rodney’s reduced vision is due to an
inherited degenerative eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP).
He enjoys opportunities to inform anyone about the day-to-day of
blindness. Rodney, Angela and their daughter, Milani, moved to Rebel
Hill almost 13 years ago. Since then, they have grown their family,
adding sons Jaden and Zach. Most of Rodney’s time is spent attending
sporting events, other programs involving his children, and working
around his property, tool in hand. Rodney has grown up reaping the
rewards of living in a small community, where many people know one
another, where people say hello as you pass, and stop for brief
conversations when out and about. That is the type of community he
believes Rebel Hill will become once again, maybe not overnight, but
rather over time, through the hard work of multiple people who have a
common goal. It is his hope the community continues to build upon the
vibrant energy in the air, and strengthen the pillar of this
community, fondly called WECA.

Building for private use? Consider having your next event right in the
neighborhood!!
* $25 hr for members; $30 hr for non-members
* If you rent for 4 hours, the 5th hour is free of charge
