Part-Time Technical Writer Needed

A dynamic, Internet technology company is seeking a freelance technical
writer to help us develop end-user documentation, product tutorials and
product help systems.

Requirements:

* Previous experience with writing the materials described above
* The ability to write clear, concise copy geared to both technical and
non-technical audiences
* A solid understanding of Internet-based technologies and protocols
(NOTE: this does not mean you have to be a programmer)
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* The ability to take on projects with minimal direction and
supervision
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, including mastery of styles
and templates

The position is part-time, up to 20hrs a week at $35/hr. It will turn
into a long-term consulting arrangement for the right candidate. 

Telecommuting is fine but candidates are expected to come into our
offices on a regular basis to discuss new projects as well as review
the progress of current deliverables. Therefore, you must live within
easy commuting distances of our mid-town Manhattan office.
