And this is how our 6-channel radio capture card shows up in the Audio Devices panel.

Rabbits ears? I'm baffled. I've never made such an icon and the endpointbuilder code doesn't specifically handle this category so I don't know where that could have come from unless your inf (assuming you have one) sets the icon to one that you made?

Microphones can be mono or stereo. There was a bug around this that I resolved very recently. It should be fixed in the next publicly available build.

Thanks Mitch. Under Vista Beta 2, my KSNODETYPE_RADIO_RECEIVER capture endpoints appeared with a nice little "rabbits ears" antenna icon which was very appropriate for our radio capture cards. Is this going to continue, or will they get a microphone icon now?

Also, earlier this year I think there were reports that microphone endpoints were always treated as mono. Is this still the case, and if so does it apply to other endpoint types (like KSNODETYPE_RADIO_RECEIVER) that are now considered to be microphone endpoints?

For anything else, we create a microphone or speaker endpoint
depending on the dataflow.

There are other node categories listed in the header files, such as
KSNODETYPE_RADIO_RECEIVER. What is their status under Vista?
