Hi All, (I am not sure whether this the right place to ask this question. If there are better information sources, please let me know)! Are there any facilities in the Windows audio subsystem for sending information about the number of audio samples arriving from a "master" audio input device to a different "slave" audio input device, so that the slave can either derive a sampling clock from that information (using a software/hardware PLL), or use the information to control an on-board DSP resampler? If any such facilities exist, do the work across driver models (WDM, ASIO, etc)? Will any of this change in Vista? I would like to build an audio capture device which can be used in a system which also has a separate "primary" audio capture system, and I'd like to have all the audio capture sync up properly. I would rather avoid the use of hardware word clock connections, in order to make the system more physically simple and compact. The impression that I have got so far is that this sort of thing is well supported on a Mac, but not on a PC. That is unfortunate if true, since I would rather develop on a PC. Thanks for any help in advance, - Andrew Voelkel ****************** WDMAUDIODEV addresses: Post message: mailto:wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe Unsubscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe Moderator: mailto:wdmaudiodev-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx URL to WDMAUDIODEV page: http://www.wdmaudiodev.com/
