Well, the waveInGetDevCaps reports my devise as a mono devise (used to be
stereo on XP) ? an attempt to waveInOpen it as a stereo failes, and when I
connected my device to a stereo renderer in the graphedit , it was still
opened as a mono device

What application are you using to record? It sounds to me like the user mode application is opening your device in mono mode? Are you using Cooledit or and application that you can deliberately set the format to stereo?

Sorry for annoying, but I repeat my question rephrased - Is it possible in Vista to expose a "stereo" microphone?
