Have you tried to open the on-board audio (using the XP driver) to see if it
can open in stereo mode?



There is no a stereo input device on my target system


Oh, do you have a USB Audio device you can try with the USB audio driver?


Yes, but it's only mono input device

I specifically remember seeing audio meters on one of my drivers for left
channel and right channel and they were different. And for another set of
devices that I wrote drivers, no problem of this nature was reported to me.

But, I have to admit, you are making me worry a bit. Of course I tried those
devices with an older build of Vista...not the latest.
