I found this problem with my audio driver: (1) Install ver.1 and verfiy the audio is heard (2) From the device manager update it to ver. 2 (3) Reboot the PC and verify the audio works (4) Now, from the device manager select "Roll back driver" option and reboot the PC Ver. 1 appears to be installed properly ( no yellow bang ), but no sound is available. It appears that some specific registry values created by my inf under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\<ClassID>\<enum>\Settings are lost after rollback Are there any Microsoft guidelines for inf registry entries to be compatible with rollback? Is it possible to customize driver rollback? Thanks, vvl ****************** WDMAUDIODEV addresses: Post message: mailto:wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe Unsubscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe Moderator: mailto:wdmaudiodev-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx URL to WDMAUDIODEV page: http://www.wdmaudiodev.de/
