I'm getting the impression that it's the source pin which decides upon the framing requirements... is that right?
If so, is there any upper limit on the size of frames my sink pin has to be able to handle?
Not that I know of. There may be a way to inquire about the allocator that will actually be used, but I've never used it.
However, remember that you are not required to handle ALL of the frame every time you get called for processing. You can advance the frame edge pointer a little bit at a time, and do more processing next time.
Thank you, that explains a lot!
