Sounds like you guys need the excellent book "Programming the Microsoft Windows Driver Model", by Walter Oney.   It covers these topics and a lot more.

Hi,
I have the same problem as the guy describes below, so I hope that you can
give me a hint, where to look.
Best regards

Hi,
I plan on building a virtual driver based on MSVAD.
I need this driver to send/receive the audio bufferss to/from my user space

application.

In addition, this MSVAD should behave as a regular audio driver for all

commercial applications like Skype etc.

As I understand, I can not use IOCTL in MSVAD. Is there any example that I

can use?

In addition, how can I synchronize the activity between the driver and my

user space application ? Can a share >an Even Object between them ? If so,
how ?

Thanks,
Simhi
