[wdmaudiodev] Vista 5.1 Speaker setup(s)

Hi List,
Apologies, this is not really a driver question, but surely one of you will
know the answer....
On XP's Adv. Audio Settings there was a Speaker Setup that allowed the
choice of Stereo, Surround, 5.1, 7.1, etc...
Now, I understand that Vista is driven strictly by the device's
enumeration, such that a 2.0 device may not be setup as 5.1 in Vista, but
what if a device enumerates as 5.1 will there be a speaker setup that would
allow, for instance, stereo to be selected by the user or programatically.
