Hakon, However I assume there will be a way to add a global effects filter in Vista? The architecture may be different but the capability will be there I hope... -Chris Perry Bose Corporation -----Original Message----- From: wdmaudiodev-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdmaudiodev-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Hakon Strande Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 1:50 PM To: wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Re: Streaming kernel audio from non-audio device Yes, impossible because the kernel mode component you would "hook" into on XP is GONE on Vista. I would recommend not relying on any kernel mode audio processing if you want your solution to work on Vista. Thank you for advice. I will try that. Let me clarify one more thing. If I want to make such a solution (kernel streaming between non-audio and audio) universal so that it can work both on Windwos XP and Windows Vista, it is impossible. Isn't it?
