Hi Tim,May I ask why that can't be done? As I have done it in my audio filter that runs in XP/Vista/Win7. With Vista/Win7, it reads from that DMA buffer.

For WAVERT devices in Vista and later, this simply cannot be done. The audio engine in user-mode writes the data directly to the DMA buffer -- there are no kernel requests to intercept.
