But there is no way. Consider WaveRT driver model, there is no way to get 
between rendering client and the device. So they must use a sAPO, and gotten it
signed. For a sAPO that handles DRM protected content, yes you'd probably need 
to go to WHQL to get the sAPO DLL signed. But all that it takes
is for the sAPO to pass the tests required for a submission to WHQL (which should be easy enough), 
then you're "home". Like.. you don't have to "tell" the
tests that there is a "backdoor" in the sAPO that pipes out incoming rendered 
audio... ;)
