https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/coreaudio/pkey-audioendpoint-disable-sysfx

If an SFX, MFX, EFX, LFX, or GFX returns a failure too often, or throws too
many exceptions, Windows will automatically set this to
ENDPOINT_SYSFX_DISABLED, which will prevent any SFX/MFX/EFX/LFX/GFX from being
loaded on that audio endpoint.

Subject: [wdmaudiodev] Audio Enhancements Problem

Hi!

During APO development sometimes I found that APO was not loaded because
Windows had set "PKEY_AudioEndpoint_Disable_SysFx" property to "1". And some
dialogue like "Would you like to re-enable them (enhancements)" appeared.

What are the conditions that property is set by Windows Audio Engine?

regards,
Artem
