There must be more to this problem. The speaker config wizard just sets the nChannels and dwChannelConfig of the device format (the format that the DAC gets run at). The other fields of the device format are set in the "Advanced" page of the device properties. How do you switch your device into "multichannel mode" and what is supposed to happen to the device when you do? We make pro audio cards for broadcast applications. A typical adapter would have 4 stereo outputs (balanced analog or AES/EBU) and 2 to 4 stereo inputs. We group multiple stereo pairs to handle multichannel. Would you consider adding a new nodetype (KSNODETYPE_NAMED_SPEAKER?) that for all intents and purposes is treated like KSNODETYPE_SPEAKER except without the hard-coded name? Or is there another method besides the configuration button to get the system to let multichannel audio through? - Tom ****************** WDMAUDIODEV addresses: Post message: mailto:wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe Unsubscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe Moderator: mailto:wdmaudiodev-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx URL to WDMAUDIODEV page: http://www.wdmaudiodev.com/ ****************** WDMAUDIODEV addresses: Post message: mailto:wdmaudiodev@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe Unsubscribe: mailto:wdmaudiodev-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe Moderator: mailto:wdmaudiodev-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx URL to WDMAUDIODEV page: http://www.wdmaudiodev.com/
