Before the last meeting I put this idea on the back burner. Because
of the venue change, I have something to throw into the pot:

My Landlord is holding two very large railway modelling exhibitions in
2008, I have asked him if he can squeeze a smaller one inside by
block-booking stalls instead of hiring a whole venue.

He says:
"It depends how many thousands (in stall/hall booking fees) they
have to spend. In principle, it's alright: Ask them to get in touch."

The first one is called "The Calne Show (in Corsham)",
in, ahem, Corsham on Saturday 19th January 2008.

The second is "Trainwest 2008", in Melksham
on Saturday 17th May 2008.

Both run the following Sunday also, opening times 1000-1700.

The Calne/Corsham show is in the in-town Springfield leisure centre.
Shuttle buses will run from the former venue in Calne, stopping at the
railway station in Chippenham.

Trainwest is in a former aircraft hanger, with overspill area. Shuttle
buses will run between the venue and Chippenham and Westbury railway
stations.

I'm not quite sure how railway enthusiasts will react to
a guest computer show, but they'll be plenty of crowds.

You'd have to merge the entry fee with the main show somehow,
otherwise it'd be confusing for visitors.
