Allison.  Since I am a new member, could you answer some questions?   1) do
we pick the venue we want to go to?  2) what venues are available?  3) do
we send photos of our work or just descriptions?  4) who do we send this

Vashon Events is proud to promote First Friday Gallery Cruise once again
in 2020. Thank you so much for your support and the positive feedback you
provided in the survey. We are looking forward to a great year.



The primary focus of the First Friday Gallery Cruise (FF) is *visual art*.
Our goal in helping to promote FF is to support our visual artists. Our
secondary goal is get more individuals out to support the businesses and
merchants.  To accomplish this goal, Vashon Events creates and distributes
posters, postcards with map on the back, and social media posts that
promote the art happenings. We will also put up large banners to remind
people that it is First Friday. To be included in the promotion is
absolutely free of charge.



Format for Submission:

Name of Gallery/Venue

Art Description



The description should be short enough to fit in three inches of space on
one line in 12pt font - about 40 characters.

Due Dates are:

Jan 22

Feb 19

Mar 18

Apr 22

May 20

June 17

July 22

Aug 19

Sept 16

Oct 21

Nov 18

Dec 23



If you would like to be included, please email us with your information.
The deadline for being included on the monthly poster and postcards is 12
business days before FF in order to allow time for printing and
distributing materials. Funding for promotion is provided by the generous
lead sponsorship of John L. Scott Vashon and supporting sponsors Camp
Colvos Brewing, Evergreen Home Loans, Island Insurance Center, and Sue
Carette of Windermere Vashon.



If you have an event to promote that is not related to art, we would love
for you to advertise it separately at www.vashonevents.org/advertise. The
cost for advertising with Vashon Events is $25 per week in our newsletter
and that includes unlimited time on our website’s home page and social
media posts.
