Hi Shelly, For those of us who are completely clueless, when it comes to the subject, what in thunder is loom knitting? *smile* It sounds very interesting and I use the list to keep a file of tips for that day, which I really believe will come, when I can call myself a VRT like the rest of you. *smile* Until then, I use the information on this list to help future clients. Also, this sounds like something I'd like to try learning myself. Is it something that can be learned as a totally blind person from the books you've recommended? *smile* Thanks as usual. Two books that are really great and explain things really clearly without pictures are I taught Myself to Knit and Knitting in Plain English Both are availble in Braille or Large Print from Horizons for the Blind, and Knitting in Plane English is available from the NLS Library service. For loom knitting you can't go wrong with www.loomknittinghelp.com and The Loom Knitting Primer by ecella Phelps. I find for a lot of my older students the looms are easier for them to use because of the ease in manipulating arthritic hands, and helping with coordination, smile. But would love to give you any tips on loom knitting secrets and techniques, smile.
