After a recent move from FC3 to Debian, I've really enjoyed the ease of installing python modules already packaged for the Debian system. I appreciate the use of 'stable' packages too, as I was getting stuck on some problems with module integrations with python2.4 and recent modules like PIL, numeric (or should I use numarray/scipy?), etc. etc. Once I get all the dependencies sorted out for visionegg, I hope the python setup.py will just work 'out of the box'. Unless I really need to get recent features, I hope to work with the 'stable' python/modules.
