Sounds like he would be better off starting from scratch and
re-converting the whole lot, however with probably 15,000 patches it
would take a few days, I know when he runs say a 300 patch library he
leaves it running overnight.
It must be a complex series of macros given what it needs to do, like
sequentially load individual patches from Omnisphere into Komplete
Kontrol, then assign the parameter template, then save out again into
the NKS format it must be prone to failure if the folder structure
changes in anyway during the automation process.
I recently spoke to a software developer about the NKS compliance and
they said it was a longwinded and onerous task to convert existing
patches, they clearly weren't aware of the potential to automate the
process like Jason is doing, rather than tell them about Jason directly
I forwarded the emails on to him, so I hope he can see the potential
business opportunity in working with all these developers, as far as Im'
concerned it's a win win for everyone as it makes more VST plugins
available oto Komplete Kontrol not only for us but the general public
too, in fact in an idealistic world Native Instruments would be
communicating with all the leading developers to include their
individual file formats into Komplete Kontrol, that would negate the
need to do any of this converting lark, NI might sell more hardware,
developers might sell more software, unfortunately like many things
these days it comes down to licensing rights and ultimately the fear of
not making or losing money!

The scripts are a bit of a challenge to run remote mainly because they
are dependant on the installed environment/resolution/dpi etc and I
also use some OCR software which I have to setup to assist the scripts
(mainly with Omnisphere) read tag information. I need to run each
script through a calibration process which can be hard remotely.

contact the developer. Some have been very helpful and have enabled me

I know he did say that he sometimes has to do some manual clearing up of
the database afterwards due to the sheer number of categories of sounds
that are tagged,
I'm sure there's more too it than that though, probably me over
