The only thing is control s does not Speak. In fact it used to say control s before and not save, never mind I can now load patches to my plug-ins with confidence.

Replacing the files (i.e. performing an overwrite) is perfectly fine, if you’re confident to do it. Suggesting deletion then copying is a belt and braces approach to make sure that no old stuff gets left lying around.

Steve,

Just as a matter of clarification, when a new set of scripts are released, should we do as Lucky did and manually delete the JAWS files (I think there were 39 of them) and then paste in the replacements, or is it ok to simply paste and overwrite existing ones close and restart JAWS?
