Otherwise these buttons don’t do anything, or if one or two do something, it is
a function that I don’t readily used while tracking or mixing. Was I doing
something wrong?
Samplitude has not done much to really integrate a whole lot from the MCU
protocol as far as I can see.

Curious as to why you would want to do that as doing so has the potential to
break existing functionality with how the X-touch works with the Mackie MCU Pro
and it's implementation in Samplitude?

I cracked it. There is a way to remap the buttons on the X-touch in
Samplitude. I am in the process of remapping my keys so that the layout makes
more sense. I will share with the group once I am done.
Tim is working to get me going on Surface Reader. If that happens, then I
will be golden with my Control Surface setup.

Not sure that the MIDI learn dialog is accessible in Samplitude. Having said
that Len is using an X-touch and I seem to remember that there is some X-touch
info up in the SSamplitude Dropbox.

Alright, one day I will get there and start to record music again.
I now have my X-touch setup and configured in Samplitude. Tim is working
with me to get it to work with Surface Reader though That has been a challenge.
I noticed that many of the buttons on the right do not do anything. Does
Samplitude have a midi learn option like in Sonar or Reaper that would allow me
to remap the keys? My intention was to create custom settings with Surface
Reader and since this has not been working for me, I need to explore
alternatives.
Thanks all over the place.
