Below is a mail which was previously sent into the Students list that may be of some help to you when using a laptop: The following are a complete set of jaws keystrokes that are available to you when using a laptop computer. Firstly you need to set within the jaws window the keyboard setting of "laptop". To do this: 1. Press keys "insert plus letter J". 2. Press keys "left alt plus O for the options menu". 3. Press "enter on basics" 4. Tab till you get to where it says keyboard and press the up and down arrow till you hear jaws say "laptop". 5. Press tab key to the "ok" button and press the space bar to finish. Now you have configured jaws on your laptop to use the laptop keyboard settings and keystrokes. Would the following example be like what you are trying to do; Going into a webpage such as google search. Jumping to the edit box where you wish to type in the search words. You can do this when you enter into a page where are edit boxes, press the letter "E" to jump into the first edit ox. Now you wish to turn on forms mode, do this by pressing the enter key on the edit box. After you have typed in your words just tab to the search button and press enter. Forms mode will come off and you will be in the search results page. Not sure if this is what you mean but hope it is. Paul.
