just to let you know I got sorted out with a shoebox tape recorder, we got it
here in Belfast at the soni shop is a
t c m 939. so I'm a happy bunny once again. I am going to keep this email for
future purchases, i might even buy another one, well the one that you mentioned
as the one i got from the soni shop was the last one.

I think I know the recorder you are writing about.
it is a Philip's recorder, and it indeed has piano keys, and a volume control
on the right hand side of it.
I still have such a recorder to play the odd tapes.

hi Joe,
no this takes ordinary cassettes, it is like the shoe box, lies on it's
back and has a piano keybord like controls, ie from left to right, record,
play, fast rewind, fast forward, stop and pause.
hope this makes sense, it is about 12 years old.

hello susan, can you explain a little more what you mean by shoe box
tape recorder, most recorders today are digital recorders with SD cards,
although some people still use minidisk recorders, most audio journalists
today are as i say using the digital recorders, some of them are not very
blind friendly, i'm currently using the plextor recorder, it is excellent for
people with sight loss, and the quality is brilliant, don't know if this helps,
