hello Eleanor,
do you not have to create a folder on the PC and copy the files from the cd and then copy the folder in to the phone.
I have also put audio books with the MP3 format in to daisy.

Bert

Yes you have to put in the DAISY CD in to your computer to copy it.

Subject:there are some issues with d2go in relation to playing but I do not
know much about it. Whenever I listen to a book, I exit when I want to stop
listening and when I start reading again I am back in the place where I
stopped by default. If I wanted to catch the last sentence or go forward a
sentence, I would use the left arrow to go back and the right arrow to go
forward. If I wanted to go to Chapter 8 or Chapter 3. i would find the book
on my memory card, open the folder, arrow to Chapter 3 or Chapter 8 and
select it.
To put a new book on, I would consider how much memory I have on my memory
card and if not a lot I would most likely delete the one I had listened to.
Then put on my new book using the USB cable which comes with the phone and
which connects to the top of the C5 and the other end to the USB port om my
computer. Once the cable is plugged in to the computer, you should hear a
ping sound and then hopefully a drop down menu will come up. It is most
likely to either contain a list of options you can arrow down through, one
of these is usually open folder to view items. That is the one you will
select. Use your down cursor on the computer to hear these options. Once you
select to open folder, you will then be on your phones memory card which
will have a list of all the folders and files on your memory card.
Now i should have said that you might want to go a step back first before
this and get your DAISY book ready to copy. To do this put your CD in the
drive. If nothing happens then go to My Computer and arrow to the daisy
book. Once on it, it is selected. Now copy by going to Edit and arrowing
down to Copy or use keyboard, I think it is Ctrl and C.
Now go back to your memory card on the phone which is showing up on your
computer and paste the book. Remember it is a very large file so depending
on the speed of your computer it will take seconds or minutes to copy over.
Now disconnect your phone from your computer and go to d2go on your phone
and open it, you will then need to go to options and import the new book on
to the book shelf. Once it is on the book shelf you will be able to know it
is there by arrowing to it, then open it and happy listening. [vip_students]
