Hi Vincent,
yes there is. Instead of hitting just down-arrow, before you do that hit
alt+Down-arrow to open the list in the combo box. Now you can down-arrow
(or up-arrow). to your desired item. Alt+Down-arrow opens; alt+up-arrow
closes; the combo box.

can anyone help me. this really annoys me when looking on the net when I go
to a combo box to search for we will say a country for example when I
click on the combo box it says forms mode on. then I push the down arrow
which should bring me through the list of countries it doesn't it comes off
forms mode and goes in to the first country on the list. is there a way for
this not to happen. I hope I explained this good enough. many thanks in
advance.
