Hi Again,

Eleanor, I just checked the site again and I get the message "Site disabled"!

Someone not "a happy camper" from there then sad.

Tony.

Eleanor,

From what I can glean the site is still up there but it is now unfortunately as we here agree is not being maintained.

Now could someone come to the rescue for us? in maintaining/updating such a great resource for us

Certainly hope so.

Tony.

why did this link have to be taken down? it seems a great pity that somebody has devised something to assist blind and vision impaired and then find that person should leave the employment of NCBI that is very valuable access information should be removed. Who then would have removed it? The in individual who put it there in the first place?

Hi Joe,
The Guardian Headlines, with links to the featured stories on its site, is available in a daily email,. (You can sign up at www.theguardian.com <http://www.theguardian.com> – it’s the usual registration process, and checkboxes to be checked or unchecked – depending on your requirements. You’ve a choice of editions, paid or free; UK, US; Australia, etc. (It’s also available in the iOS App Store.)
The Irish Examiner is also available from its own Web site; and there is a newly-launched afternoon daily digest email (containing links to featured news and stories.) It’s available in a text-only format or in .html. www.irishexaminer.ie <http://www.irishexaminer.ie> >; www.irishexaminer.com <http://www.irishexaminer.com> >. The Iurish Examiner is likewise available from the iOS App Store; (although on the iPhone initially it may be best to go to it via Safari). I, too, read both papers.
It’s a pity easylinks.eu <http://easylinks.eu> has been taken down.
