Hi Pauline,

I would look at the following  settings which may be causing your problem;

1. You are using an incorrect type of blank CD for your CD/DVD drive.
To determine your CD/DVD drive and see which kind of blank disks to use do
the following

1. Open the start menu, go to settings then control panel.
2. Look for "System" in control panel and enter on it.
3. Press keys Control + tab to go to the "hardware page".
4. Tab once and you should be on "Device manager", press spacebar to open
it.
5. Press the tab key once to jump onto a list of available hardware on your
computer then arrow down to "CD-DVD drives and right arrow in here.
6. Press the down arrow once and you will hear the name of your CD/DVD drive read out to you. Press the application key to open up a context menu and up
arrow to properties followed by enter key.
7. When properties opens up, press keys, "Control + tab" to jump to the
Details page.
8. Route jaws to PC by pressing and holding down the insert key and pressing
the "minus key" on top right of your number pad. Once you do this you can
then use the number pad 8 and number pad 2 keys to read this screen. What
you are looking for on this screen are letters "R and W or just R or W on
their own". This tells you what kind of disks your CD/DVD drive can take and
they should correspond with the same letters on your pack of blank CD/DVD
disks. I know this can be quite lengthy but you should try and do it.

-R. "Indicates that you have a read only drive"
- RW. "Indicates you can read and write to this drive"
+RW. "Indicates you can use any kind of blank disks to read and write"

Paul.
