Hi Joe,
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V are Windows keystrokes and should work regardless if
you're using a screen reader or not.
What are you trying to copy and paste?
Don't forget to first select the text you want to copy with
Shift+RightArrow, etc. And then press Ctrl+C to copy the selected
text to the clipboard. To confirm that you successfully copied the
selected text, you can press NVDA+C to hear the contents of the
clipboard.
Lastly, go to where you want to insert the copied text. Make sure the
insertion point has focus. And press Ctrl+V, or select Paste from the
application's Edit menu.
