Hi Vincent,
Do you mean that when it stops you get a "Retry button", if so this can be
normal as any time I download this service pack I have to hit the retry
button from time to time until it eventually completes the download
process, just keep hitting spacebar on the retry button until it completes.

hello paul sorry it is windows 7 64bit.
i pasted some text below, i got from someone else but they cant help me no
further. i done the steps on this and the error message is not appearing no
more but now the installation is starting and stopping at 25%. can you
advise anymore.
go to the start menu. to accessories then to command prompt. open the
context menu with shift f10 and run the command prompt as administrator.
then type in sfc /scannow
it will take about 10 minutes to check all the windows system files. it may
ask for a windows install disk. so if all you have is the factory restore
disks it will not work.
but it will try to find bad or missing system files and replace them.
