Hi Susan

I had forgotten about you UK people up the North.when referring to the BBC
iPlayer. Of course you would get it. I have some vision and I have to say
in terms of colour contrast the iPlayer is excellent and very easy to get
around. I do not use JAWS but I would think it would work very well with
JAWS as the BBC site is very good when it comes to Accessability. With
regard to your other query re D V D's and audio description. Are you aware
that you can rent audio described videos from the RNIB? I think you pay a
similar price to rent them as people do in the shops. You could e-mail
cservices@xxxxxxxxxxx or you could telephone their customer services.
Unfortunately I do not know that telephone number but you would get it via
the 195 Directory if you ask for RNIB Peterborough. Hope this information
is of some help. Incidentally you can also purchase the audio described D V
Ds from the RNIB but maybe you do not want to do that.

hi Eleanor,

we pay a TV licence as we are up here in the north of ireland, but tell me
is it very jaws friendly?

we joined the tesco DVD rental but even though we selected DVD's from the
audio description list the DVD's were arriving but weren't audio
described.
we don't have a DVD rental shop near us or we might have went there. I
believe Amazon rents out DVD's also but don't know if they are audio
described.
