Hi Susan
When you place files in the dvdrw drive, they are temporary files, allowing you to write them to a CD. If you are satisfied that they are backed up in a safe place, you can delete them by going into the dvdrw drive, press alt and down arrow to the option "delete temporary files" and press enter.

Hope this helps
Joan Ann.

Subject: [vip_students] back up disc

hi folks,

can some one please explain in simple terms just what's happening here? let me explain, last week i lost all my important info of a pen drive, fortunitly i had it backed up on another pen drive, so this won't happen again i decided to make another back up and as i don't have another spare drive as yet i decided to back it up on a disc. i did this very successfully, however when i go in to my computer and arrow down to the drive that i made this back up in, which by the way is dvdrw drive (d:) well even when i don't have a disc in the drawer jaws reads out the list of files that i have backed up. can any one tell me why this is doing this?
best wishes

susan
