Hi everyone,

Below iare the contents of an email I received from one of our I.T trainers
here in NCBI. She wrote up the article on saving attachments and I wanted to
share it with you all there. Thanks to Sharon Lyons for this tutorial.

Opening and Saving Email Attachments:

Outlook Express will tell you whether you have an attachment or not.

When reading a message, press Insert + A to go to the attachments (there can
be more than one). Then use the arrow keys to select the attachment file and
press Enter to open the file.

You can then save the file onto your computer. Press Alt + F to go to the
File Menu and then arrow down to Save As.

In the Save dialogue box, Tab to Save In and use the arrow keys to choose
the place where the file will be stored, usually My Documents, and press
Enter.

Then Tab to the filename box and type in a suitable name for the file.

Finally Tab to the OK button and press Enter.

The file should now be in your My Documents folder.

Cheers,

Sharon
