Hi Tony
Glad this worked for you.
When you arrow through the numbers, each one seems as if it is checked because they are radio buttons. Radio buttons are used for choosing between a small number of options, when only one of the options can be selected. The options are arranged in a list, and next to each option is a radio button, which is a small white disc. The selected option is indicated by a black dot in the centre of the white disk next to that option. To change the selected options use UP or DOWN ARROW.

   Hi Joan
Ann,

Nice one!

Interesting that when I landed on the numbers radio button it gave me four
choices single, double full number and so on and Jaws said that they were
all checked!!

I did a check command on single digits and my problem is now resolved!

A good tip to file away, not under "never to be found again" however!

There are lots of options in that Jaws configuration indeed!

Many thanks.

Tony Sweeney.

Hi Tony
To get Jaws to read phone numbers as single digits, do the following:
1. Press insert and f2 and down arrow to the configuration manager and
press enter.
2. Press control, shift and D to go to the default settings.
3. Press alt and S and down arrow to text processing and press enter.
4. Tab to number processing and use your up/down arrow keys to go through
the choices. Choose single digits.
5. Tab to Ok and press enter.
6. Press Control and S to save the changes.
7. Alt f4 to exit from the configuration manager.

Joan Ann.
