Hi All,

I have been asked by a friend of mine who is an retired school teacher to
put out this notice on the list and see if anyone on here would be
interested in it. It is basically a book on audio CD format and contains
several stories. He plans on using the funds raised by his book to go toward
the Irish Guide dogs and the cancer society. Brian who is the author is an
excellent story teller and covers different topics of a historical nature
about the Irish people he grew up around and also some stories further back
in the century and indeed previous century. Here is a snippet from the web
page for anyone interested.
Mystical Irish Musings Vol.1 is a compilation of short stories that offer a
rare and precious insight into life in Ireland stretching from the Great
Famine
to the last quarter of the 20th century.

The double CD package contains 2 hours and 18 minutes of top quality
listening and a six-page photographic insert.

Both grandfathers of the author emigrated to America ? one to Montana  and
the other to New York  ?  and 6 of the 18 stories have a strong
Irish/American
flavour.

The stories are narrated by the author who is a direct descendent of the
Bards of ancient Ireland. They are all true and serve as a vital link
between Ireland
past and present. Where necessary, names have been altered.

The material will resonate with anyone with a drop of Irish blood (and,
indeed, those with none!) ? those with memories of their own youth and those
who
listened as children to their parents, grandparents and neighbours.

Some people may find it difficult to visualise an Ireland without the Celtic
Tiger economy but Mystical Irish Musings will open a window on a different
landscape ?social, cultural and historical.

Brian Mac a? Bhaird is a retired secondary school teacher and lives in
Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan with his wife Síle. They have three grown-up
children.
