hello aedan

as far as I remember when you import an album in to iTunes weather from your
music library or a cd iTunes imports it not in the right order. its a slow
process starting off. what you have to do is .

1 import your album either by cd or import it from your music folder.
2 choose the album you imported
press the applications key second on right of space bar. and press enter on get
info. a dialog box will come up asking you do you want to edit all info for
multiple items press enter on yes.
4 use your tab key and fill in relevant information in all boxes in this dialog
box. when you finish this your album will be fixed into the original order it
is meant to be in.

don't ask me why you have to do this I think its some mad design that apple
came up with to make it a pain in the arse to copy cd's. anything else just
shout.

to delete something from your iPod you will have to do this using your iTunes
program. as far as I remember you will have to delete it from your library.

regards
Vincent

  Hi Vincent,

Yes, I have used those settings but how should I have the music arranged in
my music folder before doing that to maintain the order of album, artist and
track. Also, how do I remove a faulty album from the ipod. I cannot find any
delete function anywhere.

  Regards

  Aedan.

  hello aedan

when in iTunes go to your file menu and either add file or folder to library.
and follow the steps then. if you have any trouble with this then let me know.
I think this the only way if you have iTunes installed all ready. if you have
not iTunes installed then an option will come up during or after installation
to import all your music. let me know if I can assist again.

  regards

  Vincent

    Hi Vincent,

Firstly, I am not sure how to move the files from the music folder into the
Itunes library. Can you advise?

    Aedan.

      Hi Vincent,

I have an IAudio mp3 player which plays mp3 format. My son recently
bought me an Ipod Nano 4th generation like Moreen's but I fail to get it to
properly load my mp3 files. If I let the library in Itunes brouse the pc it
collects my mp3s all jumbled up, even though I have them nicely ordered under
"my music".

      Any suggestions appreciated.

I know if you rip cds into itunes there is no problem.

      Regards

      Aedan.

      hello Noreen

did you go to the iPod in the source list and tab across and there
should be a check box which allows you to turn on spoken menus or not for the
iPod

      .

I am using Nano 4th Generation IPod and had Anna voice from Vista
installed which was working well until after last update and since then no
sound from Anna, though everything else seems to be there. When I attached
IPod and it tells me it is in sink but still no voice. Any tips on how to
reinstall much appreciated.

        Thanks,Noreen M.
