Understood Francis! The non-text papers and such may be not always totally accessible but a number are. Now if The Mod allows, maybe folk who may use such give us back to this list their comments and reflections, perhaps identifying those that say that are fairly or quite accessible for example. I don't believe that all non-text sites are altogether badd as I know you are aware! I'm not naive I assure you knowing that there is a bit to go with accessibility re newspapers and the like. Let's keep on truckin! I've added Insight Radio to the list of radio stations, thanks for that and I'll give the address of the website I came across before that has links to newspapers in Ireland. These are links to the full websites of the newspapers, not the text sites. I don't know how accessible these sites are I'm just putting it out there for anyone that might want to explore them. The website address is http://www.onlinenewspapers.com/ireland.htm Thanks again Tony. All the best, Francis. ----- Original Message ----- From: tony sweeney To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 30, 2009 12:55 AM Subject: [vip_students] Re: Easylinks Website Now Has Headings Hi Francis, Glad to see that you have now headings on your site. I was wondering when that might happen! Nice one! Now with regard to the text-only versions of newspapers and the like could they be a separate heading with the others of non-text be a separate heading too? Am very much in favour of the latter as well as of course the text-only versions . Now just one more thing to add, if I may suggest. The RNIB have a station called Insight Radio so possibly consider adding that one too to your stations list. I don't listen to it much myself except say when they would be covering Sight Village and such but some others may find generally that station of interest to them. www.insightradio.co.uk Continued progress with your sight. So a Jaws user can now tap the letter H to go through the headings instead of having to arrow all the way down to get to where they want to go. There are 6 headings on the page, these are News and Information Websites, News Video and Audio, T V Listings, Irish Radio Stations, Regional Radio Stations, International Radio Stations. This should make it easier to navigate around and save you constantly arrowing down or constantly tabbing. Hope you find it user friendly. Thanks to Joan Ann for the suggestion. For anyone not familiar with headings it won't impact on the way you currently use the site. The address again is http://easylinks.yolasite.com/ All feedback welcome. Thanks, Francis. ******************************************************************** National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) is a company limited by guarantee (registered in Ireland No. 26293) .
