Thankfully no Albert. I am getting much more confident now and less frustrated.
Your help has been fantastic thank you Albert. Hopefully no more questions but
great learning curve has been achieved.

Eleanor if you press f4 you come to settings,
and press control and tab until you come to remote access.

tab along, you will be asked to enter your email address, then you will be
given a choice to check data base.

That is great now Bert, I have located the music but I am disappointed
about not having the track names and artist. No work aroubnd for me I guess.

        Eleanor,
the music copied from your cd will go in to a folder called (my Music)
.
to obtain information about the cd it is necessary to be connected to a
data base.

Bert I think I like the Cdex for now and will get around to iTunes
but tell me, I did see where my CD converted but where does the convert go to
and why do I want remote access, what does that do?

            Hello Eleanor,

if you press F4 for settings, this lands you in to a multi
page the page you are looking for is remote access.
all you need to do is put in your email address and there is a box
to check to use the remote.

Paul suggested Itunes, this is an excellent piece of software this
is much easier.

Brian Hartgen wrote a very easy to read guide in using Itunes.

Albert I am afraid I would have to go back a pace here, do I
highlight all files, is there a way I have to bring them in to Cdex?

                hello Eleanor,

I use CDex most of the time for converting wav to MP3.

after inserting the CD press F9 to convert MP3, or f8 for
converting to wav files.

here is the direct link below for CDex.

                  Hi all
I used to be able to do this with Switch Sound Recorder but
now I cannot, all I get is red X saying that it failed to convert. I am
definitely using the software correctly. Now I want to convbert a music CD to
MP3 and am looking for suggestions. I tend to put in the Cd and then go to My
Computer and from there highlight Music CD and copy the CD to My Documents.
Maybe I should not be doing this. Then like I say I cannot convert, indeed I
can't even get what I copy to play in WMP or Real Player or even VLC media
player, do not know why this is either. Finally once I copy over, the only
info I have inside my folder is track 1, track 2 etc. Now I know it is
possible somehow or other to get the names of the tracks as I accidentally got
them using WMP which was great. I have never done this before but what I want
is not only to read the names of each track but to have them written in each
file rather than track 1 etc. Any help much appreciated.

                  Eleanor
