i really dont know where yer going with this. im aware of these functions. all im saying is when talks is muted on the key pad lock the phone still plays the new message tone. and when the phone is unlocked it announces a new message if one is present.

Vincent new messages and new e-mail is a function of the phone and not a function of Talks. When there is a new male when the phone is locked, a sighted person is also alerted to the new Male. This alert is always present when one unlocks the phone.

ok Loretta but the steps i gave only mute talks and not the phones profile
for messages also when this is done you can still press the talks key to see if you have any messages or do any other task such as check time or so on.
hope this helps.

What I mean Vincent if you didn't hear the alert tone of yur message
coming
in and you just took out your phone to check if you had any new messages
and
press a key Talks would say one new message!

Hi Vincent,

It's a handy one but you won't know if you have received a new text
message unless you unlock your phone or hear the alert tone, so you
would have to be aware of this.

that turns talks off completely. try it this way. if you go to your
talks settings by pressing talks key and the star key under the number
7 it brings you to these settings then arrow across once and you
should here advance tab then arrow down until you hear mute on key
lock press the select key to change this. hope this helps. as far as
saying its a good phone i really dont think so.

regards
Vincent

Hi Breege,

To stop talks talking you can press the Talks key and then the delete
key which is the raised one on the right. Now when you wish to start
Talks again just repeat the key actions with Talks key and delete.

Enjoy it as it is quite a good phone!

Hi Breege,

It's the raised button on the left under the glass screen.

Hi All,

Here is a link to the Google mobile device search page but can be
used just as well on your computer. If you like a clutter free google
search experience then this looks like the job. I would suggest
making a shortcut on your desktop to this one for handiness when you
need
it:
