Avast for home users download:
http://download638.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

This guide is to help you download and install the Avast antivirus software
for home users. It s freeware for home and personal use but you must use the
paid version if it is for commercial use.

We will begin the guide after we have first downloaded to our computer the
Avast software.
You can choose to download in two ways the software.
*. When the download begins and you are prompted to either save or run the
software.
*. You can first choose to save the software to the hard drive such as your
desktop or in My Documents for installing later.
Note: This option may be best for someone using a dial-up connection.

We are going to choose in this guide to install the file after we are
prompted to either "save it or run it". To do this we will tab over to the
"Run button" and press with the spacebar.
What happens after this is that the file will first download to the
computers temp folder and when it has completed this it will then begin to
install.

1. When the file has downloaded to the computer, it will come up with a
warning message about running programs and ask you if you would like to
run this software. You will use the tab key to jump to the run button for a
second time. Remember we had this run button earlier but that was to
indicate to the software that after it downloaded it should begin the
install process. This time the run button is for making sure that we "really
want to run the software on our PC".

2. Once we have hit the spacebar on the run button the software starts
asking us some simple questions.
The first question is the welcome to the Avast installation and you hit
enter on the "next button"

3. This next screen is a read me page just giving you information on the
system requirements your computer must meet in order to run the software.
Just tab to the next button and press enter or spacebar.

4. Now we have the license agreement. You will be positioned on two radio
buttons to make a choice:
*. I disagree button.
*. I agree button.
You must select the "I agree button" by pressing the up or down arrow.
Once you have done this tab key to next and press enter or spacebar.

5. Now Avast is telling you where it will install itself on your computer.
Just tab to the next button and press enter key or spacebar again.

6. The next screen is the Avast configuration screen. I don't advise you
make any changes here so just tab to the next button and press enter or
spacebar to continue on.

7. The next screen is a checklist of recommended settings that Avast will
install on your system. Just go to the next button and press enter or
spacebar.

8. Once you have pressed the next button the software will now begin
installing on your system so give it time to complete and it will indicate
to you that it is installing by announcing percentages as it goes.

9. The final part of the installation is that it will prompt you to restart
your computer. Just press enter key to complete this part and the computer
will then reboot itself back up to the desktop.

Now your Avast software is installed. When the computer comes back on there
may pop up some Avast screens just informing you of what has happened and
so on, this is normal and you can close any screen that is in your way with
alt + F4 when the computer settles down.

Note:Obtaining a registeration number.
The Avast software requires a registeration number which you can obtain from
the Avast support team. If you send an email to the below email address
stating that you are vision impaired and cannot read the letters on their
registeration page they will send you a serial number to install into your
avast product.
To obtain a registration number for your Avast, send an email request to:
support@Avast .com

Now go to the article about setting up Avast after the installation of the
software for further instructions.
